Freshcare Australian Wine Industry Standard of Sustainable Practice

Join Us for Essential Sustainable Winegrowing Australia Training
Wines of Western Australia and Great Southern Wine Producers Association are pleased to announce an
in-person Freshcare AWISSP Training workshop delivered by the Australian Wine Research Institute
(AWRI). This opportunity is open to Great Southern members prior to extending to other WA regions.
- Workshop Details
This comprehensive training covers requirements for Sustainable Winegrowing Australia member
certification including:
• AWISSP – Viticulture for businesses who only grow grapes and do not have a winery
• AWISSP – Winery for businesses who have a winery
• AWISSP – Viticulture + Winery for businesses who have both a winery and vineyards
To use the Trust Mark on your wine labels 85% must be sourced from a Sustainable Winegrowing
Australia certified member and made in a winery that is a certified member.

• AWISSP Viticulture: $738.40 (inc GST)
• AWISSP Winery: $738.40 (inc GST)
• Combined AWISSP Viticulture + Winery: $988.01 (inc GST)

• No prior membership required – Non-members can join SWA in June as part of training
participation
• Membership incentive – Membership costs commence from July 2025
• Venue and catering included – Covered by WoWA
Rural Aid Education Funding Available
50% reimbursement of course costs (up to $1,000 per producer)

Apply through Rural Aid’s simple online process. Can be done prior to registrations for training.

2. Provide primary producer declaration (e.g., vehicle registration, tax notice, or accountant letter)
