The Western Australian Wine Industry Partnership has strengthened Wines of Western Australia’s capacity to deliver coordinated, industry‑led programs across sustainability, market development, and industry capability.

To support this work, WoWA has expanded its team to ensure producers and regions receive practical, timely and effective support.

Chief Executive Officer Wines of Western Australia

Larry has led Wines of Western Australia as CEO since 2013, guiding the strategic direction and long‑term competitiveness of the state’s premium wine sector. With nearly three decades of industry experience, he brings deep commercial capability across sales, marketing, organisational strategy, and sector advocacy.

Larry has played a central role in strengthening WA’s domestic and international market position, advancing initiatives that enhance export performance, sustainability adoption, and industry resilience.

He works closely with government, industry bodies, and regional associations to drive policy reform, secure investment, and support producers across the state’s nine wine regions.

Eloise Jarvis

Eloise Jarvis

Sustainability and Industry Development Program Manager

Eloise is a highly regarded figure in the WA wine industry, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a winemaker, educator, and consultant.

In her previous role as Sustainability Engagement Officer with the MRWA, Eloise led the implementation of the region’s Sustainability Action Plan, significantly increasing producer adoption and certification of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

Not every winery will follow the same path, our role is to meet producers where they are — helping reduce costs and embed sustainability as a core part of their business model, driven by ethics, efficiency, and practical processes.”

Lucy Nankervis

Lucy Nankervis

Sustainability Support Co-ordiantor

Lucy brings practical industry experience as a vineyard and winery owner in the Geographe region, giving her a clear understanding of the commercial realities facing WA producers and a grounded approach to sustainability.

At WoWA, she works with Sustainability and Industry Development Program Manager Eloise Jarvis to deliver programs focused on collaboration, renewable energy and efficiency, carbon reduction, and biodiversity opportunities.

Through site visits, workshops, and peer learning, Lucy helps growers and wineries implement sustainability actions that are practical, commercially relevant, and beneficial, from reducing costs and improving efficiency to building climate resilience and exploring emerging opportunities such as carbon and biodiversity projects.

Leah Clearwater

Leah Clearwater

WA Wine Industry Partnership Engagement Officer

Leah is a consultant and educator with almost 30 years’ experience in the wine industry. Holding a PhD in Viticulture and Oenology, she began her career in wine production and lecturing at Curtin University before moving into senior roles across sales, marketing, business consulting, and winery management.

Leah has worked extensively with wineries on brand and business strategy, direct‑to‑consumer models, market development, staff training, and digital communications. Known for her engaging and practical approach, she helps businesses strengthen their brand storytelling, customer experience, and commercial performance.

With deep insight into the wine sector from vineyard to cellar door to digital presence, Leah brings an integrated and authentic perspective to her work. She also runs her own consultancy, Clearwater Wine, and recently launched the Margaret River Wine Academy, further supporting capability development across the region.

Stakeholder and Communications Manager

Caroline supports industry engagement, regional collaboration, and strategic communication across the state’s wine sector.

With a strong background in community engagement and organisational communications, she plays a key role in strengthening relationships between producers, regional associations, and industry partners.

Her role also provides dedicated administrative support to the Geographe and Blackwood Valley Wine Industry Associations, helping to coordinate regional initiatives, enhance member communication, and promote the visibility and capability of both regions. Caroline’s work ensures producers receive clear, timely information and easy access to the support they need.

By strengthening communication between WoWA, regional associations, and industry partners, she helps producers stay connected to programs, opportunities, and initiatives that benefit their businesses and regions.

Shiang

Program Administration Officer

Shiang provides essential administrative support for Wines of Western Australia’s major strategic programs, including the WA Wine Industry Sustainability Strategy and the WA Wines to the World market development program.

She works closely with the CEO and Program Development Officers to coordinate timelines, reporting, financial processes, and grant compliance, ensuring programs run efficiently and meet their objectives.

Shiang also manages key administrative systems, maintains stakeholder information, and supports the preparation of program documentation and communications.

Her work helps ensure producers, regional associations, and project teams receive accurate, timely support that underpins the successful delivery of WoWA’s industry development initiatives.

Deb Bell

Deb Bell

Accounts Manager

Deb provides bookkeeping services to Wines of Western Australia, working one day a week to support the organisation’s financial administration, compliance and payroll functions.

In addition to this she also works in a finance role for a Great Southern–based wine producer. With 25 years’ experience in the wine industry, Deb brings strong financial expertise and deep industry knowledge, along with a genuine passion for the Western Australian wine community contributing valuable behind‑the‑scenes support to initiatives that strengthen and promote Western Australia’s wine sector.
