Purpose
This workshop is about enabling vineyard owners to make the right decision – financially and responsibly – when a block is no longer performing. Neglected and poorly managed vineyards pose an increasing biosecurity risk across WA wine regions, acting as disease reservoirs and increasing the risk of pest and pathogen spread between properties and regions. The workshop brings together practical expertise, economic analysis and decision-making frameworks to equip growers with the tools to make sound, timely decisions.
The session builds on the recently completed WA Wine Industry Biosecurity Week and connects to the WA Wine Industry Sustainability Strategy 2025-2029 biosecurity pillar.
This workshop is delivered in partnership by Wines of Western Australia and Margaret River Wine Association through the Western Australian Wine Industry Partnership an industry-led initiative supported by the WA Government.
